Can anyone help me to ##entify this knife?
I recently inherited this knife, which is believed to have come from my great grandparents. As a couple they traveled the world in the 50's. I know they spent time in Egypt and the Arctic and I would expect many places in-between. Any help will help. Would be good to know if it's just a prop or letter opener.. etc. The only markings on the knife that I have been able to find are 8 characters (could be 9) stamped crookedly at a angle on the blade. It is hard to make out the letters exactly, but it looks like: NlGlTlNI - the G also looks like a backwards D or could be an O. see pics Thank you for taking the time. No clue.
If I had to guess, it looks like a re-handled plug bayonet. |
