THANK YOU Andy Sharpe!

Guys-One comment from Andy made the trip to the guild meeting worthwhile. Travis and I were discussing the tracking problem I'm having with the flat platen on my Bader. Andy asked if I had a tape crown on my idler pully wheel. I said yes. Then he asked if I had a tape crown on my drive wheel. I said no. He said that if my belt was moving back and forth (which it is) across the tension pulley wheel and the drive wheel that I should put a tape crown on the drive wheel. I got out to the barn today and wrapped some electrical tape around the drive wheel ans SHAZAM! The flat platen tracks 1,000% better.

For me that one piece of information was just about priceless.

Thank You Andy!

I'm gonna try that trick. I've presently got tape on my idler but not on my drive wheel and belt tracking sucks.

FYI, folks. This is on an old Bader BII. Those of us with BII's need this more than those of you with BIII's or other grinders.
