Matchless Buffing Compound
What is the correct way to apply the buffing compound to a buffing wheel? I tried applying it dry to new buffs, but I seem to be wearing more of it than the buffs. Thanks

Are we talking about greaseless compound or regular wax based buffing stick?
If we are talking regular buffing compound just a little will do, more than that will throw off all over the place. Each application lasts about 30 seconds on the wheel before it has to be replaced. There is no such thing as long lasting buffing compound. Greaseless compound melts on the surface of the wheel turning it into a hard faced grinding wheel for heavy scratch removal, darned hard to apply unless you have a three phase motor on your buffer. __________________ george tichbourne www.tichbourneknives.com sales@tichbourneknives.com |
