Leather handle finishing
I just finished a stacked leather handle knife. It is the ranger classic on knifekits.com. I was wondering what is the shiny finish that companies like estwing use. Is it like a polyurethane?

Well, since no one else has come along and helped, I'll try. I'm not sure who estwing is, but personally I'd do something a little different. Leather when done right can make a nice handle, but it can also become a sow's ear if left in its natural state. Did soak the leather in epoxy when putting the it together? There is a nice how-to over on British Blades, I'll try and locate it for you.
