Surface grinder wheel to 2x72 belt conversion

I did the searches (Knife Network and the web) and can't find a current source for parts, instructions etc. for the deed. Mr. LeBlanc's email link doesn't work. Bertie emailed me and said he doesn't make wheels anymore. K and G doesn't list the LeBlanc conversion anymore. Best I can tell, Ray Rogers bought the last one years ago.

Help Tool wizards! I can't find the yellow brick road to surface grinder nirvana!!

A little over a year ago I converted a couple of surface grinders to belts. I, too, found that Bertie was no longer making the wheels but did find that Pop's Knife Supply had at least two of Bertie's wheels left on hand. You might try him and see if if he still has one left.

I've done conversions, Bader will make you a contact wheel. Just call them and tell them what your doing. They will also make and sell you idlers.

Here is one of my conversions.

Skip and cliff,

both of those conversions are very nice. If I hadn't found John's number...I would be trying that myself. Knowing me though, it would have cost me twice as much to make my own!

Thanks for the input guys.
