Installing clip on friction folder
Sorry if this is a dumb question guys but I'm blanking here.
I'm in the process of making my first folder/ friction folder I ordered a clip from Jantz that came with 3 bolts. The scales are micarta. How do you go about installing the clip? Are there threaded female grommets or something that need to be place in the scales so I can screw in the clip or is it just a matter of epoxy ing the provided bolts into the micarta. Thanks for any help. I'm very new at folders so sorry if this is simplistic. Thanks. |

Screws won't hold in micarta. Most folders have a metal liner behind the scales. The screws are tapped and screwed thru the scale into the metal liner.
