Heck, that's what wives are for, to keep knuckle heads like us in line. Just preparing you for what might happen. I had a cousin who was something like you are with narcotics. If they had Oxycocone back there and gave her one they'd probably have to pry her off the overhead. I was given a medication once that was supposed to give me a little more energy and it worked for about three weeks, then all of a sudden it put me on my butt without the energy to get out of bed. It happens. Remember that if it does happen that it's only temporary. You'll improve once you start tapering of the meds. You'll pee your brains out to-just thought you'd like to know.

Doug

Glad to hear your getting there ED. Went through the depression with my wife. Put her down hard for 6 months and put me down as well. It was a tough road that we still deal with. You have some great friends who were willing to do the hard thing and get you better. Hope things continue on the upswing. Prayers still with you.

Take Care

Latest update: The "second opinion" result on my biopsy came back from the Mayo Clinic....They termed in "hyperplaisa", which is essentially hyper-active cell growth, but the good news is NOT cancerous!

Today I started two weeks worth of steroids, then on the 19th I go in for labs, another CT scan, and an office visit with the Oncologist. Hopefully that will tell the tale and put this thing to rest.

Last week my sweet Wife and Daughter pointed out to me, that I've been more of a "negative" person then they've know me to be......I don't like that. Those of you who know me, know that I've always been one of those "glass is half full" types....guess all the frustration of trying to chase down whatever has it's hooks into me, has turned me a little sour, and caused me to have my own little pity parties from time to time. Sorry if that's shown up in my posts/communications. I want to be that person that I've always been.....seeing the bright side and looking for the rainbow behind every cloud. It's just been tough for me to maintain lately....but that's where I am blessed to be able to count on some friends to kick me in the rump when I need it.

Be good to yourself. You've had bad stuff delivered in wheel barrows full lately. Sometimes life just gets to you and I think that we could all see what was going on. Your dad died of cancer, if memory serves, and you just lost your in-laws to cancer. Then your doctor shows up and says he's concerned about you having cancer right after that. That would take anyone to the breaking point. It's good that you know what's going on and can work on it. Give yourself some time to rebuild your energy. Set aside some time each day to realize what you have to be thankful about.

God bless and keep you.
Doug

Thumbs up Good news, indeed!

Dear Ed,

You need not apologize for struggling. The greatest of men in history all have had their dark valleys to pass through and I've read some of their accounts and their's didn't sound much different than your "pity parties".

You know we all think the world of you and are just happy than you are coming out of that vale. You've, most likely and unbeknownst to you, left some wells in that valley that others will drink from during their testings.

We will continue the prayers for good measure .

Take care buddy,
Dana and Sandy
