Avatar??

Is the small picture (thumbnail?) on the left side of some posts the Avatar?

I see in User CP you can choose a custom one and what size should be used?

Thanks Alex, the new site is great.

Maybe I'm answering my own question.

I right chicked on a small image, it was 70X70 pixels. Tried it on a banner and it was 300 X 116 pixels.

I have image storage at my server as part of the online package. Is there anything special about a banner or is it just a sized image?

James, I didn't use the code you posted about the banner, wasn't quite sure how to do it. I posted a image using the insert image button in my signature. The image is 300 X 99 pixels. It seems to work OK. Hope I didn't break any rules, it's just a trial banner,

I made a banner in Photoshop with added text. Couldn't save it as jpeg, so I printed the text on a blank sheet of paper then shot the image with the knife on the paper. Not unlike the old paste and stick method of publishing before computers.

I really should get to the shop and finish a job.

I'm not the man to ask about rules i think this is my fourth post, i'm just a 8o trying to helpout. The only reasion to use the code is so you can make it a link to your site.

Hey Gene! Your banner and avatar look great! I'm still enjoying my books you wrote, but haven't had time to try the "Mountian man Folders" yet. I enjoy gadgets, and when I get a slotter like Paul Harm uses, I'll run a batch of them, I think they'll be good sellers, and look good on a show table. Also, I appreciate all of the posts about old equipment and jigs that you take the time to post. Keep it up!
