Looking for a knifemaker
I received a phone call this morning from a man who has come into possession of a fixed blade knife. The knife has a stag handle.
He would like to know about the maker, W. Geffert, of Victoria, Texas. The knife is marked: W. Geffert Victoria, Texas Does anyone know of this knifemaker? Thanks. |

Nobody here from the Victoria area?
Guess nobody has ever heard of him. Now, just out of curiosity, have you ever heard of an old knifemaker named Don Robinson? He lived and worked in Ajo Arizona, Aberdeen Md., Houston Texas, San Antonio Texas, and Brownsville Texas. |

Robinson? Troublemaker from way back! You could always find him at knife shows because there'd be a line of guys staring at a knife he'd made and going, "Oooooooh! That's nice!!"
