Friction folder - black and blue G10
It's been way too long since I've posted a folder on here. I've made a few and sold a couple of them, but I just haven't gotten around to posting them here. This is a black and blue G10 friction folder which I just finished. When I went to the Shenendoah Valley knife show, a gentleman looked at a couple of friction folders I had but didn't buy one. Later he called and asked me to make one like those he had seen, but with black and blue G10 scales.
The blade is 2 1/4 inches and made of O1. The overall length is 5 7/8 inches and it is 4 1/4 inches closed (to the end of the flip tang). The liner is 0.050 titanium and all the screws are stainless steel. You can see from the last picture that I only use one liner. The scale on the back side is screwed directly onto the liner and the screws on the front scale go through the back spacer and into the same liner. This helps keep it very thin and light (it is only 0.370 inch thick). Tell me what you think. Tony |
