very nice! to me is screams either silver lightning strike carbon fiber or a nice dyed and stabilized wood for the grips! I was thinking about making carbon fiber grips myself

Great idea for some new grips! Have had this pistol since the mid 80's and the grip change would be pretty nice.

Ladies and Gentlemen: the Cordilleran Flycatcher and, if you look closely, you can see the knobby heads of two of her three chicks. Their eyes aren't open yet but they'll be ready to leave the nest in about two weeks. Her nest is next to and just above my back door but she doesn't seem to care as I go in and out at all hours of the day and night....

Was going through the old films and scanned a series of frames from the grand parent's place in Los Angeles. Built in 1907, they bought the house in the 30's. Aunt lived in it in the original deteriorating condition until '97.

When these were built, the street was lined with them and one by one they disappeared because the zoning was also commercial. This was the last house standing on the street. The apartment came in, in the later 50's is my guess. Dad, uncle and aunt are gone so I cant pick their brain for additional history. Those tid bits went with them.

Don't see many turn of the century things, a glimpse into an old LA house:

Rebuilt this old key this week. It was just a pile of blackened parts on a shattered board when I got it...
