Seeking advise for broke tap extraction.
Hello All,
My name is Christopher Gillian. Today I was in the shop when my buddy unexpectedly stopped in. While we were talking about marriages, divorce, military (I had not seen him in years), I snapped off a 2-56 tap. I don't have an easy out small enough, I'm scared to drill it with my .0595 drill bit, using fire isn't an option because it's stuck in Ti. My Question: what is the proper method for extracting it, from my liner? My initial thoughts are harder drill bit, that is smaller diameter. Or do you just flatten these, and then locate a new hole in the liner? Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, ~ Chris P.S. - 1st post ! |

If the liner is Ti , just drop it in your container of Ferric Chloride overnite .
