Damascus Ironwood bowie

Just finished this one. It is 13" long overall and has some more of the wonderful Matt Walker high contrast damascus. This stuff is amazing to work with and super consistent. The blade is fileworked as is the oval damascus guard. It has damascus ferrule and butt cap with mammoth ivory spacer and ironwood burl handle. The sheath is custom made with a rattlesnake inlay and lined throughout.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks
STeve

Stephen my only complaint is a lack of more pictures. The sheath is fantastic, the design flawless, and the damascus is darn good.

I second that! Great looking combination! The handle material and sheath compliment each other very well.

Thats smokin,,the ironwood sets it up nicely.
I also like the color you chose for the sheath and how the marbling of the sheath leather is like the color strands in the wood, any darker and that wouldn't show.
two questions: is the file work consistant in size all the way to the point?
and how far back from the point did your file work stop?

Steve, Thanks so much for the kind words and great feedback on the steel. I'm always pleased when I see what you do with the metal. This one looks like it would feel natural in the hand. Great job. Looking forward to the next one.
Matt
