Another maker gone. . .
There's a post over on BladeForums that George Herron passed away this morning. I don't have any other details. . .

The George Funeral Home in Aiken, SC will be in charge of the arrangements. They have a website
http://georgefuneralhomes.com/_mgxroot/page_10750.php and there is a place you can leave condolences to the family if you desire. Mr. Herron was quite the character and a man I am personally glad to have had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know. He was always an encouragement to John, and I can see him now, chewing the fat with John, with that pipe in his mouth and always good for a joke. He will be greatly missed as both a friend and a great man in the knife community
