using interior walrus ivory ?
I have a really nice chunk of walrus tusk and was thinking of using just the interior marbled potion for a knife. Is there any reason not to use it. I haven't seen it used so was wondering if there was a problem with it.
Thanks for the help Steve __________________ Stephen Vanderkolff Please come on over and check out my website. http://www.vanderkolffknives.com/ Thanks |

I used it once on a gentleman's knife. Had no problems with it and it was absolutely beautiful. I had a set of scales with a split tusk, it had a little white ivory along the edge. You will like the way it looks.

Steve,
There's nothing at all wrong with the interior walrus. There are some who don't like the look of it but I am not one of them. It has what I call a "tapioca" look. To me it has a lot more character than a plain white piece of ivory. Let us know how it turns out. Gary __________________ Gary ABS,CKCA, ABKA,KGA |
