Ivory Handles and Leather Sheath Question
Although I know that all natural materials will crack with time and various conditions, has any other members ever thought about a potential cause of Ivory handles cracking from extended periods of being sheathed?
I have noticed that many of the knives that I have seen and owned were cracked on the Randall stamp side of the knife, which obviously is the side which is in contact with the leather sheath. And I haven't seen many with cracks on the opposite side, which is exposed while sheathed. |
