Sgain Dubh inspired boot knives (pic heavy)

First things, First... I want to Thank Everyone on this forum for what you are doing here, I've been stalking for a long time. I love what you all do, and how you treat new people with patience, and good advice. Thanks.

Here are knives #5 and #6. inspired by the traditional Sgain Dubh, when I saw them on here a while back, I decided to make a couple for my work partner and I. An opportunity came about this year and I changed jobs, giving up the motorcycle. But I finished the knives, and I am going to give my friend his knife today for Christmas!

anyhow, stats on both knives are:
Starrett 496 (O1 tool steel) deferentially heat treated to (~59.5 RC edge hardness/54-55RC on the spine) full flat ground w false edge

Brown micarta handles with inlaid motor unit wings. Tapered tang. 3/32 brass pins w/ Accra-Glass. square box braid 2 color 550 cord with mukome beads (beads are from Knifekits. com)

finish is hand sanded to 1500 grit. sharpened to hair popping.

sheaths are made from scrapped fenders of English style riding saddles. designed to be velcro'd into riding boots, I hope they aren't too thick to be comfortable.

I have enjoyed making these two very much. I am a blessed man, and try to appreciate it every day! Tell me what you think, Thanks for looking!
