electro-etch unit

hi all, i just made an electro-etch unit using Bob's plans (thanks for making them so easy to read bob), i have only two questions,,,,,,1) when its all hooked up i get a reading of 28 for my ac and 0 for my dc any ideas? 2) ive head i can use primer for a resist for electro-etching is this a good method (im not ready for stencils yet)?

Check and recheck your wiring again.
Look also at Chris Crawford Tutorial
Paul Duerr (PaulD) made a real nice diagram, which is very easy to understand. You could ask him for the pic.

If you are getting AC your transformer is good. You might check your wiring on the bridge rectifier and DPDT switch.
