Rotary Table size?
May I get some input on a rotary table from you guys? I am going to buy one to try my hand at folders. I want to use it to make the circular slot for the stop pin. My mill is not mini but not full size either. It is a Grizzly 8x30. I assume I don't want the cheapest. Should I get a 6" or an 8". Is Vertex a decent brand? How about the Enco Phase II?

Thank you Don. I have a friend who is a retired machinist and his advise is always get the biggest, heaviest tool you can when it come to machine work. Mass is everything. I listen to his advise almost without question but on this his advise was an 8" Yuasa and other makers I've talked to said small and cheap. Quite a difference, so I needed to research some more. Thanks again.

I have a rotary table and recently been making a lot of folders but I tried many different methods of making them including using the rotary table to do exactly as your describing but found its not really needed there are much easier and quicker ways to get it done that are just as good if not better personally I just put the center of the stop pin a tiny tiny bit forward and above the pivot...much easier and works great
