Sold a knife.

I had this knife sold to a friend at work. It was a very reasonable price but when I presented it to him I ended up just giving it to him. I know this knife will not sit in a drawer or on a table so I had no problem giving it to him.He will definately test it.
The knife is not perfect but he was more then happy with it.

Shank, just an FYI, if you are serious about knife making your knives will never be perfect, and if they do, then it means that we are no longer pushing ourselves to grow. That is one great looking knife, by the way.

Doug Lester

Shank,

You have come a heck of a long way in a short time. Knife looks great and it is definitely your style. I could see it coming with those first few rough works you first showed us a few months ago. You already had a style in mind.

Keep it up and your gonna have to change your screen name. By the way, did that coworker call that one a shank? ;~)

I doubt it!

Great knife from a budding knife maker.

chiger,

That is very nice work. Looks clean and like it would just feel good in hand. I also am amazed at how far you have come in such a short time. I personally have never made a knife I was totally happy with. Keep-up the good work.

I saw a couple of Buster Warenski knives a few months back. If I can ever do work that well, I'll call them perfect I figure I've only got 20 more years of learning before I can come kinda close.

Good looking knife, I'm sure your coworker will be happy with it.

Thanks for the good words .
I have come a long way in a short time.
This website and tutorials have been the reason. You guys have been great in helping me out. Thanks!
I will soon start trying to add bolsters, guards and try a hidden tang knife. So many things to try and so little time.....lol.

Hey Shank,

Yup, I love the design.
A pefect skinner design if ever I saw one.
Good work, a real 'using knife' design.

Thank you

Shank,
Very nice knife, looks like good quality work.
As Doug Lester stated, "if you are serious about knife making your knives will never be perfect." The better you get the higher your standards will become. Dan
