site update

I finally finished the web site update.

There are a lot of new knives - even some of Gene's own Damascus.

I had a booger of a time with some of the links, so if you find one not working please let me know.

Website Update

HI Pat, site looks great. BUT it appears to me on the fixed blade page, all the pictures from GO-M2 on down are blurry, at least to my poor tired eyes

Peace

Paul

BTW Great knives as always Gene!

The site looks real good. I checked the blurriness that viper5192 was talking about. There's two things causing that.

1. Too much compression on the thumbnails. If the thumbnails were created from the original JPG files (which were already compressed), then saved, they got passed through the compression algorithm again, and lost more detail.

2. The actual size of the thumbnails is 100x75 pixels, but they are being displayed at 180x135 pixels, which also causes a loss of clarity.

Thanks Paul. I only hope others clicked on the thumbs to see the good image.

Thanks for the tip Terry. I was pretty tired after dealing with the links problem. You can see by the time of the post I was up late.)

As soon as I saw the page I knew what happened. The solution was pretty simple. The blurred images were the old photos trying to fit in the new size I made my thumbnails. I just forgot to upload the new thumbs. :\

They should be fixed now.

Looks very good Pat.
When the video is ready let me know, I have most of the knifemaking videos that are out there and I learn something from each one.

She's getting pretty good at that.
I've got to get her to teach me more now that she's gone to work at the local college.
