Buy O1 Tool steel
Hi All,
Greetings from Fiji, A friend of mine is a pilot on our National Airline - Air Pacific and visits Los Angeles 2 times a month. He has offered to bring some O1 tool steel for me. Would anyone have an address of the nearest shop/warehouse to the LA airport where he can get some O1 steel for me. Thanks in advance. Philip Lee

i dont have a answer but 01 is a very common steel.you should be able to get it there in Fiji.call all the machine shops around and ask for 01 drill rod or flat stock.if that doesnt work try e-mailing one of the suppliers here on the forums and ask if they ship there and how much.

Thanks for the reply. I have checked all the hardware shops here but almost all drill rods are M2 High speed steel. Never the less i will try again. Do i heat it up and pound it flat for a knife steel?
