Now there you go!
If I just get you to forge the other end as well......then I'd feel like I'm getting somewhere.
Very nice Andy! I like that style blade sans the hollow grind, looks very functional.
Did you make the striker as well?

Remind me at the meeting - I have something of yours.

I forged the fire striker. I needed the practice, as you can see after my first attempt. So I did a bunch of those, and a little knife too. I'll finish the little forged knife today and put up a pic.

Thought I'd post pics of that little forged knife all finished up. Burlap micarta with a black liner and orange pinstripe. Pins are black micarta. Steel is an old file. Balde was forged.

Andy,

The knife looks great and welcome to the dark side... Seriously though I love that curly que on the end of the knives.

Way to go Andy! Really like that you managed to save the stamped logo near the tang.
I've been kicking back and forth on what to call the "tails". Usually call the longer knives with these "monkey tails" and the short fat 3-fingers "pig tail". Either way they add a bit of bling and a place to hang a lashing.
Is that a hot-stamp logo on the right side of the blade near the handle?

No. I made an AR etch stensil out of electrical tape. This isn't a Fiddleback.

That'd be an easy hot stamp to make.

Got to play with Andy's knives (above) and they are pretty nice. THe larger one is a real looker from all angles, but the smaller one appeals to me. It'd handle anything from a chipmonk or native speck up to a trophy buck or hawg and anythig in between. I'd work that one everyday with no worries.
I have a good chainsaw and axe so I don't have to baton firewood (;p).
Nice work Andy.
How's them rockers setting? Felt really comfortable for killing cold units after a long day of forging.
