Cryo timing question
I've searched this already and most of the stuff on it is a few years old. Not that things have changed all that much since then- but maybe they have, or the steel has at least.....so here's my question- what is the latest consensus:
154cm, properly heat treated, is it better to A. Cryo after a snap temper then do full temper cycles OR B. Cryo after one cycle full temper (between cycles of 400) OR C. Cryo immediately post plate quench, full tempers cycles after cryo OR D. Cryo on properly HT 154 cm is only marginally beneficial and not worth the trouble. What say you gentlemen? __________________ Dennis "..good judgement comes from experience, experience comes from poor judgement.." -Gary McMahan, a cowboy poet and good dancer. http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/p...24112090995576 |
