My first 2 knives

After years of hanging around on knivemakers forums and trying to learn as much as possible, I finally took the plunge last weekend and made my 2 first knives.

So here you go,

Made out of 80CrV2 (1.2235), overall length is around 22cm / 8.6"

Blade thickness at the spine 2,8mm or 3/64"

I did the hardening myself to approx 60RHC.

6mm / 1/4" brass pins

The 1st one has a handle out of old oak wood, the steel is finished with a scotch brite belt on the belt grinder.

The 2nd one is olive wood given to me by an old knive maker on the island of Crete. This time I polished the blade, but the finish is not perfect.
