KMG Clone blueprints (Image Heavy!)
I stumbled across these plans awhile back, figured I'd share em. You can find em a couple places online, but gets to be a pain in the butt. So I'm re-posting em and hosting em.

Glad to see these posted. I used to have this PDF in My Documents on my PC but recently when someone asking about plans on a forum I could not find them, (Gremlins) and the link I had would not work anymore! So I already downloaded it again.
These plans are great and are what I used when building my KMG clone! __________________ C Craft Customs With every custom knife I build I try to accomplish three things. I want that knife to look so good you just have to pick it up, feel so good in your hand you can't wait to try it, and once you use it, you never want to put it down ! If I capture those three factors in each knife I build, I am assured the knife will become a piece that is used and treasured by its owner! C Craft |

This is what I used to build My KMG Grinder . However let it be known there are some things that are not up to par in the plans and do need to be modified to work properly some holes are off and others need to be changed to a larger size to prevent malfunctions with the grinder . just a FYI .it is a good starting point .

Hello from South Africa
I am planning this build however I live at my beach cottage which is 100m from the sea, so rust is a huge issue for me. Can anyone, who has built a KMG Clone with these plans, inform me of, if I can make the entire construction using aluminium plating, using the same thicknesses, or would I have to use thicker plate. Stainless steel is double the price of aluminium here in South Africa thanks |

Dali.
I've seen plenty of these grinders made from aluminum most of them in the 1/4-3/8" thickness range for the plates and tubing. If I was to go with aluminum I would use fender washers for better stress distribution. But that's just me. Wish I would have made mine from aluminum. But had 3/8 steel I got for free. So, away I went. Just looked through the plans. 3/8" should suffice. Could use 1/2" for base plate and motor mount plate if you wanted but I don't believe it necessary. But it would help rigidity. PDFs
Anyone still have the pdf files of the KMG Clone 2x72? These jpgs are a bit fuzzy on the small print. Any help is much appreciated.
