Little Guy on Black Background
Just finished this and took some pictures.
Taking pictures in portrait rather than landscape is a bit more challenging. Comments please. |

I think the picture is good, but the feathers are distracting from the knife. I would get rid of the feathers and make the small insert a little bigger. It is there to give you information and I think it needs to be big enough to actually give you the information you are wanting it too. Just my 2 cents worth, there are a lot here that know a heck of a lot more than me. Some of them will join in soon I am sure.

Cal,
First let me say nice knife and good lighting. White balance is also very good. I have to agree with Wade, the feathers are a bit distracting. I would like to see the image with only the knife in it. The depth of field needs to be increased a little more, stop down your lens to say F11 to F14, but you are going to need additional light, as this will reduce the amount of light entering the lens. I would like to see the backround a little darker. Barbara |

Great way to learn, Cal, putting your images out there for comments. The improvement is obvious overall. Barbara and Wade make good points.
