Want to see something cool?
Every now and then someone we know gets a knife into Blade or Knives Illustrated and that's always fun to see. This time, a couple of my knives got a page in Outstanding Blades which is the only major knife magazine in mainland China....

My Chinese is a tad rusty, but I think I saw something that said, "You buy Ray Rogers knife and I do your nails".
Congrats my friend, even if it is in China-ville. Great looking blades. Robert |

I have always liked that design of yours, Ray.
It is no surprise to see one of your originals in a magazine. Now you have to frame a copy of the magazine! Brett |

Actually, I don't mind a bit that it's in a Chinese magazine, at least they sent me the copy. I was interviewed by a Russian magazine and sent them a ton of pictures but never got the copy they promised. And another bonus: at least they were willing to do an article on somebody who wasn't buying advertisement in their magazine. Doesn't seem like our mags have much interest in you if you're not spending a few thou on ad space(one of my personal gripes).
Pics of my Rayzors pop up from time to time, got some in Blade. Oddly enough, Tactical Knives did an article on my kitchen knives but said the Rayzors were too far out for them. Idiots. TWOLFE, I've been working with Chinese people since the early 80's on various projects and have had more free Chinese food that you could imagine in places all over the country and China too. Never say 'no' to dim sum, just be careful what you ask for ... |

Ray....Congratulations. It's the recognition that counts. The fact that it comes from an unsuspected corner of the world does nothing to reduce the recognition, and it actually increases the "genuineness"...if that's even a word....since it's doubtful that many Chinese have ever even heard of you until now.
Well done, and well deserved. |
