Looking for someone to apprentice with (unsure what forum to use)

I'm looking for someone near Atlanta to apprentice with if possible. I want to get into making and selling knives and other stuff, but I need to be taught how to get them done RIGHT and with impeccable quality. I'm getting my own forge and grinders set up early next year and I'm already doing what I can to learn about blacksmithing. I've got some support and my living costs covered if I can find full time training and education. I don't know where else to look to find the education and workshop time so I'm asking here. Thanks for reading, I hope this helps get me going in the right direction.

Alan,
Welcome to the forum. To answer your inquiry, just look within this forum down about5 or 6 posts to the post by Fiddleback, aka Andy Roy. I believe it is titled "Knifemaker wanted". The post contains his contact number. Give him a call!

Already interviewed with him. He requires health insurance that I currently don't have/can't afford right now.

You should try and come to our next guild meeting, which will be October 18th in Vienna, Ga. There will probably be 30-40 people there from north Georgia you can talk to. You are bound to meet someone there.
