What I've been doing most of this week. Took three men 10 hours in the rain to set this beast up. The tower is 30ft tall right now but will extend to 50 ft after I do some more preparation. The picture doesn't really show the scale of this thing - the longest of those skinny cross pieces is about 27ft long! There is a rotator up there to turn it around ...

Here's that knife I shaped the handle Damon

http://www.knifenetwork.com/forum/at...1&d=1478469443

This is just about two steps from finished. Thanks for the use of your KMG Damon. This is a double edged boot knife, it looks a little shorter than it is. Is that what setting my camera to 600 pixels does Ray? Apparently it does make the knives look shorter cause Damon's Chef's knife isn't that short.

No, changing the pixel setting won't change the perspective of the picture unless you told the program to not maintain proportionality. There is usually an option where you say what size you want the picture to be that asks if you want to keep the picture's proportions...in other words, do you really just want to change the length (or width) or do you want the picture adjusted to fit the change you made. So, maybe you missed that but I think it's simply that you were very close to the knife and you leaned a little sideways to avoid flash splash. Leaning a wide angle lens like that will change the perspective ...

You're probably right Ray.

Plus my camera was totally focusing on the shiny blade and not the handle. Just made my blade look shorter, but the tiger stripes will make it look wider too.

This is what I did this week. Old studio mic quit so I scrapped all the guts (outside the mic) and built a whole new mic inside the old frame. Works great!

This was my project for the week. It's a uni-directional microphone built into half of a cigar pocket humidor...
