Refinishing 600 Grit Satin Finished Blade

I have a blade that I really like and it is 600 grit satin finish. I want to polish that blade and use it in a new application that I am working on. I want to get a highly reflective finish on the blade, as polished as I can get it. How do I go about the task? Thanks.

use selecively finer grits of wet dry sandpaper backed by hard leather or wood. You can get up to about 3000 grit at the autobody supply store. From there buffer wheel with jackson white rouge or similar. If by hand try a silver polishing paste and alot of elbow grease
