If you want to clean Brass then the easiest thing that I know of is Sweets 7.62. It is a barrel cleaning product and can be found in most sporting goods stores. A mediocre substitute is ammonia. just wipe either one on let it set for a while and rinse it off. heavily tarnished pieces may have to be recoated. This will clean off the shine to so if you want the polish to remain then you will have to use something else. I have a treated cloth that works excellent. It is called "Crazy Cloth" and I get them from Russ Haydens Shooters supply in Gig Harbor Wa.. I think I saw them in the latest Sinclair catalog also. I will post #'s if you guys want.

I like Flitz for cleaning brass. I had some for cleaning the aluminum tool box on my truck and discovered its great for brass and nicklel silver fittings on knives.

I agree with all the above, brass is easy to clean. Never Dull is my favorite. In a pinch, ketchup works really good, too, or lemon juice and salt. When my knives are completed and polished, I use Rennaissance wax on everything, including the blade, handle and guard to protect it.
