Bevel Grinding Edge Down - Anyone Else Do It?
I started grinding my blanks edge down about a year ago. It has made a big difference in belt life. When I used to grind edge up the best I got was 19 blanks ground on a single belt before it was stripped bare of grit. Grinding edge down I have a 36 grit ceramic cubitron II that has ground 50 blanks and is still going well.
Just curious if anyone else has tried it and what their results may have been. This video below is an example of my edge down grinding. http://https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o244gqKOqTA |
