leafspring fire

I am building my first auto from scratch, and was wondering where to go for advice on using a leafspring to fire a 4" stilleto blade. its going to be a bolster release mechanism with a humpback lock. high carbon damascus blade, nickel silver bolsters, and ivory paper micarta scales. im planing on .060" stainless liners. and a combo of stainless pins in wear/stress points and nickle silver in no-wear areas.
