Transformation time in quenching process for hardening deepness
Hi!
I know that as the transformation time in cooling process is greater the curve of the TTT diagram is displaced to the left. But I don?t have any idea of how this affect the hardening depth, I am sure that the greater the time the deeper the hardening depth. With all the best Marco |

The greater the TTT curve is to the right the deeper the depth of heat penitration will be. The Jominy end quench is used for a more direct measurement of depth of hardening but those scales are not as easy to come by as IT/TTT diagrams.
