Is stag liked these days?
Was going through a box of handle materials and I had some stag in there. Before I cut it up I want to have some idea if it is a desirable material on a knife these days.
I flattened some and I didn't miss grinding that stuff. LOL I see that it can be fairly pricey to buy the rounds now. Would you use the stag or go stabilized wood? __________________ Mike |

Stag is timeless in my opinion, especially on Bowies and fighters.

Thanks! Also called a dealer and he stated that stag is a +. I also had some dyed giraffe bone which was a thumb down.

Stag preferred over stabilized any day. Stag leaves the table first at any show in which I've participated.

Thanks! That's sounds promising. Cut one round up and cleaned up a partial piece in the box.
