vertical forge question
Hello all,
I have a question about the pipe diameter for a vertical forge. Even using large diameter pipe like 14?? + 2?? of refractory you are end up with 10'' of ins##e forge diameter. Is this enough for making an 12?? billet? Is it okay to have part of the billet outs##e the forge while drawing out? Thanks, Evgeny |

Yeah, you're fine. You can work in sections no problems. Mine is 10" with an 8" interior and I work 12" billets all the time.
