Heat treating

I am in the process of purchasing a heat treating oven.

In a previous post, Don Cowles mentioned a rack for the knives in the oven. What type of rack? I'm assuming that the knives would lay flat on the rack?

Any info would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks,

Bob Sigmon

The knives should be able to stand on edge (the spine) in your HT oven. The simplest rack is made by slotting a pice of soft firebrick.

Once again exactly what I needed to know. Thanks Don for the speedy reply!!!

Don, do you mind having a guest to you shop. I'm in Plymouth, just off 275 and would love to see your shop! If it is a possibility, let me know.

Thanks,

Bob Sigmon
