Fortunately all you need is a photo editor to trim your photos down to under 51kb and around 500 pixels wide. Once you meet that criteria, you can attach the photo directly into the post.

Most simple photo editing programs allows you to resize to a certain size, and compress to a certain size. You submit the parameters.

Here. I just changed this one to 46kb at 500 pixels wide. I go to the bottom of my post window and click on 'manage files'. In there it asks me to upload my file. So I find it on my hardrive and I do. Hit button, wait for it to draw it up, and bingo. Close window and it is attached to my post.

Alex improved the system big time for us. Take advantage of it.

Looks good Carl. There is a file size limit to post. It is a small 51kb. Some programs allow you to adjust not only the image size, but the file size by means of 'compression'. See if your program supports that, and then save it at a more compressed level, and you can keep the image larger.

There is a trade off in quality, but a photo at about 500 pixels wide can look awfully darn clear at 50kb.

Glad you got it goin'!

Coop

Hellooooo

Sorry about that file going missing! I had it hosted on a website that we recently shut down, and it was also a little out of date (going back to the EZ Board days) I had not realized that people benefitted from it .

So,

Even though there are numerous links here about posting pics, mine was really a How-To Cut and Paste on images. I have begun the process of updating that file and I will reload it onto one of my sites, when I get it knocked out. The old file references that now defunct website html, therefore to avoid confusion I am just going to remake the tutorial.

Glad it helped some folks out!

I will post when I get it back online...

When you preview your post, does the preview show the attached photo?

I have finally been able to attach a photo to a test post. Now I want to use the same photo in a new thread and I keep getting an error message saying that I have already uploaded that file in another forum even after I went back and deleated my test post. Any help would be appreciated. How do you post a picture once you have already posted it?
