don't drink the water

hey fellas...
... and you thought I fell off the end of the knifemakers' universe.

Nah, just a very bad and long lasting IG bug that kept me in bed for a month. Feeling much better now, weak as a kitten but able to partake of the important food groups.. hot dogs, potato salad, glazed donuts et al.

My god, I have pages of threads to read through....

How have all of you been? I missed ya, ya know...
Trish

Hey TRish, glad to hear from ya.

In the immortal words of Willie Nelson

"Don't drink downstream from the Herd"

Or was it HAnk Williams?

Glad you are among the living again.

thanks, guys... it is indeed good to feel good again.

Off to see if I remember how to hold a hammer...
... first time in almost 5 weeks I'll even be in my shop... terrible.

Worst part's all my callouses are gone but this has to be the cleanest my hands have been in a year...*g*... Not for long!

I'll be back later, whining and bit**ing about how "sore" I am... *g*

Don't feel bad. I'm still fighting with the over 100 degree temps here. The monsoons cooled things off for a while, but it's getting up to 102 today, with high humidity,... but I'm not whining.

Don't listen to 'em.....drinking out of the slack tub will not make you a better knife maker.

Trish, Sorry to hear you were sick but glad to hear your doing better. Don't over do, I've had doctors tell me that.

The W-2 is still missing, there suppossed to call me if and when they find it.....

It wasn't the slack tub, it was the "treated & filtered" water out of the Ohio River that did me in. Methinks my slack tub is probably cleaner... at least has identifiable dirt in it ....*g*

Woah, Ray, you mean Lindquist "lost" your W-2?
I was getting ready to call them, it's been more than a month since you ordered... let me how that falls out, would you please?

Yeppir, Larry, I'm still *grinning*... tried crying and complaining and my family ignored me .... go figure....

And I hurt like "OWW" from yesterday.
Need to grow some new muscles to match the new blisters I started.

All's better, if not well, in Ohio... at last cooler than AZ!
