Big Engraving Jobs

For those big engraving jobs
Thought you all might enjoy this,
Large push graver I made about 12 years ago for a display.
It is 12.5" long and does indeed cut metal.
The graver is HHS, ferrule is sterling and the handle is pine
I came across it wile digging through an old trunk that I had stored away.
I thought I had lost it, glad I did'nt

Darren

Very nice...Great for a display and a good teaching aid. What else have you got hidden...maybe some engraving to see.
Thanks
Jim

LOL

OK Jim you got it, just posted a ring I engraved.

The big graver was a hit, and it was something I could let people handle and examine,

I never used this for teaching, but I used 1x1 piece of wood with the end sanded like a graver point, then I would melt white wax in a baking pan and spray paint the top gray, and you could make cuts in it just like regular engraving and the student could really see it and understand what the tool was doing.
