engraving - on the cheap

What is the best way for the small time knife maker to engrave his company logo without having to buy an eight thousand dollar laser engraver? OR what do local engraving shops usually charge per knife?

Thanks,
JIM

You can have a stamp made, or use electrolysis. Both are pretty cheap and can do a nice job. Search on here to see specific discussions. (Like, who makes stamps)
