How much should a Maker, expect to spend, for advertising, website, and shows, a year?

Hi Jay,

Rule of thumb is 10- 13% of your expense budget.

However, it will depend on each makers needs.

The key is to get the maximum return for each ad.

Gear your advertising to the publication that will give you the best chance for selling what you are currently making.

The other side of the coin is when you consider entering other markets. That will probably require a different marketing strategy.

For pure return on investment a web site is hard to beat.

But understand it generally takes 6-12 months to let people know it's out there.
