Another hairy knife :)
Teasing Trevor Two.... Be Afraid !
I did say I was working on a bigger version of Teasing Trevor and here it is . Much bigger..much heavier and hairier...and now with adjustable teasability...all at the turn of a knob ! Its 10 inches high and the huge blade is over 2.5 inches deep. Still utilising a Liquorice Allsort for maximum frustration. This knife had various new technical challenges for me.......give me steel over fur any day ! Hope you like barry salter More at : www.knifesculpture.com |

My cat would love it...
Unique, sir, in the most bizarre manner possible. __________________ A good friend told me one time about forging "What is there not to like, you get to break all the rules you were told as a kid, don't play with that it is sharp, don't play with fire, and don't beat on that" Wade Holloway See some of my work. |

That's different. Though I'm not sure if I'm supposed to cut with it or cast it. Neat.

Thanks guys......I do feel that the "art" side of knives tends to look backwards with lots of traditional filigree and predictable decoration.........and as such just repeats the past and shows little imagination.
I try and do things that are thought provoking and blend ideas from sources outside of knifemaking .......Im a comic illustrator and cartoonist........so I'm not averse to using humour in my work at times more at : www.knifesculpture.com regards from the UK barry |

Definitely consider me a fan of your works.
Very unique and creative. You are extremely talented with great attention to detail. Those works are well outside of the box. Good mild shock value with humor! I've tied flies for many many years and a tiny part in my brain correlates your sculptures to Steelhead flies. Keep up the great work man. Ponderous. __________________ Stay away from fast women and slow horses |

Thanks for your comments...made my day Ive tied flies for years and had some of my new patterns in books and magazines Ive also written and illustrated a comic strip Mr Prawnbush in the Fly dresser magazine for over 10 years...So I guess some of my work is influenced. www.prawnbush.com probably my most well know fly is the "activator bead fly" http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=s...%20fly&f=false This fly works amazingly well but has upset a few traditionalists here in the UK as much as my knives do in the knife world regards barry |
