1911 Gtc/hbj 001

This is a colaboration project mine with a famous brazilian magazine gunwriter. He asked me to make a folder with a COLT 1911 Government Model grip. His demands were: satin finish 440C blade with superior false edge, militar tolerances (distance between srews on grip) to change grips whenever he wants. I had the idea to make the thumstud at the same place and shape of the magazine realese button (A place he knows very well after all). It could be a heresy for most knifemakers, but sure a must for 1911 lovers....
Now the pics of the process:
Drawing with CAD

cutting from templates:

Placing the holes:

Surface grinding:

Ok, you know the rest...

Nice job on the knife and great pictures!

Don't know if I'd want to carry it like that!

Love the gun photo with "United States Property" on the side!

Wow, i know im bringing this one back. But i love that knife. My true hobby is IDPA shooting, and i shoot either a 9mm 1911 or my old favorite, my Colt in 45. Are these knives available to buy? i did a search on google and came up with nothing.
thanks
