Anyone Got a Pattern for a 1911 Holster?
I just bought my Springfield WWII Mil-Spec a few weeks ago and I'd like to make a holster for it. Does anyone know where I might find a pattern or two?

Are you looking for a particular style?

Hi Chuck, yes. I would like to have the holster for concealed carry below the armpit, with the strap assembly that goes with the actual holster. I would also be interested in any other patterns for the 1911 as well, or simply how to make my own pattern(s).

1911 Military (Colt) (Springfield) etc!!!!
Rick, if you will send me your physical address by email, I will send you a pattern for a Border Patrol Holster in the mail. You can see a picture of this holster on eBay dated 7-21-04 09:50.05 in the holster and belts section of sporting goods. I made this a while back and the guy that ordered it sold his pistol and did not need the holster. I do not need it either---lol Sandy

Sandy thank you! I couldn't access your email here on the board but I did send you a P.M. By the way, that holster looks awesome!

First off heres Sandy's holster:
RJ - As to holster patterns I don't have any shoulder holster patterns at all and they are a real bear to make properly for even an expert so..... I will see if I can dig up my pattern for an In The Waistband style, but can't make any promises since I haven't made a holster for a M1911 in at least 15 years. So RJ send me an email at chuck@wrtcleather with your address and I'll see what I can do - I think I have some old M1911 IWB holsters that were seconds - if so I can always ship you one and then you can make a pattern from it. __________________ Chuck Burrows Hand Crafted Leather & Frontier Knives dba Wild Rose Trading Co Durango, CO chuck@wrtcleather.com www.wrtcleather.com The beautiful sheaths created for storing the knife elevate the knife one step higher. I know this isnt as craftsmanish, but I have a shoulder holster you can have
its not leather, its olive drad cordura. it was $20, from a surplus store, you can have it if you want, I dont have my gun anymore, it got taken away. should fit that gun nicely, the one I had was about the same size. |

Thanks to all you guys. Sandy, I received your pattern in the mail. Thank you sir! Chuck, thank you for the offer for the IWB holsters. I did try to email you at chuck@wrtcleather some time ago, but for some odd reason my server rejected that address. Right now I am going to concentrate my efforts on Sandy's border patrol pattern and with a little luck I'll be able to post a picture of it when I get done. Take care, Rick.
