Drill press safety planer

Woodcraft catalog has a planer that makes a 2 3/4" past depth up to 1/4". Have anyone ever used one to resuface slabs? It looks like with one pass you could make dead flat.

Hello -
Unless your handle material is quite large, it could be difficult to feed into the machine.
Please be careful if you try it.
Most grind handles flat on platens of belt grinders.
It's fast and works pretty well with practice.
