watched Gene's video for the 10th time
and have a question. I would like to start attaching the handle slabs with the little bolts that Gene uses but I don't see on the video how he ensures that the bolts don't come undone. Also are you supposed to epoxy as well as bolt the slabs on and if so how do you keep from gumming up the threads? Hope all of that made sense. By the way, this is a great tape if Gene is still selling them.
Thanks Steve |

Use locktite on the threads of the bolt. This eeps it from unscrewing. No epoxy between the tang and the slabs.

Like Bob said, I use locktight, no glue.
Using screws is a little more tricky, but I LOVE using them. Pins are pains. I still sell my share of those videos too. Glad you enjoyed it and hope you learned a lot. |

I would like just to jump in and say that if anyone who is new to knife making hasn't seen the video--you REALLY need to watch it. It has A LOT of good information in it and it will save you time, money and frustration.
