Knife #7 - Exercise in Vine Pattern

Hello All -

Just finished up knife #7. My main goal was to try to make a better vine file pattern. This is the first knife I used the "Wicked Edge" system on. I am very happy with the edge. My angle gauge says it is a 21.3 degree angle. Previous knives the edge was OK but I wasn't entirely happy with them. The steel is 1084 with bocote wood for the scales. The blade is 3.7 inches and the handle is 4.3 inches.

Any and all comments and constructive criticism is welcome.

Looks like an awesome piece! The vine looks more singular, more like a real vine. I like that dark chunk of grainy wood top of the left scale. Did you make the sheath too?

BTW, what do the 3 stars in your mark represent?

Thanks for the good words Dan. I am the III so one star represents one I. It seemed to fit in the pattern so I put them in. I made the sheath also.. It is 8-9oz Veg tanned tooling leather, double stitched.
