Good Finishing Impossible with Wobble in Bench Grinder

I have a bench grinder with the grinders removed and sanding discs installed with a chuck assembly.

There is a slight wobble in the sanding discs attached - they are brand new. It seems like the rubber sanding disc that attaches to the chuck assembly does not attach perfectly and makes a wobble.

The wobble puts lines in the final finishing stages that the buffer won't get out.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of the wobble.

One grinder I have is a small 3/4 HP Grizzly the other is a Delta, both wobble but without the chuck assemblies on they are perfect.

Anybody ran into this before?

This ruins the knives when you get to this stage....

Help!!!

you could work the blade by hand after.... draw file, and hand sand to get it nice and flat.

The problem is the retrofitting of your bench grinders. You're putting sanding disks made for a chuck that really made for drills. I can only imagine what that rig looks like without a photo of it to look at.

CAL-HAWK flap discs are made with VSM765 German Zirconia sand paper and fit various arbor sizes. They come in different grits that can spin to 13,300 RPM maximum. Made in China for CTT Tools, Inc. and currently available and affordable.

These only work when spinning in one direction so be careful not to use incorrectly.
